Cruz Johnson, 32, was fatally shot in a residential area of Gulfport, Mississippi, on a Sunday in November 2019. His body was discovered in the neighborhood, and the Gulfport Police Department opened an investigation into the killing.

Investigators identified Aquarius Scott as the suspect and launched a search. A few days after the shooting, Scott was found dead inside a vehicle in another part of the city. Authorities determined Scott took his own life, so there was no arrest or criminal trial in Johnson’s homicide.

For Johnson’s family and the community, the case ended without a courtroom resolution. If anyone has information about Cruz Johnson, his last movements, or the events that led to the shooting, please come forward.
