Dematric Lamar Clark, 36, was shot and killed in Vicksburg, Mississippi, in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 21, 2019. Officers responded shortly after 1 a.m. to reports of a shooting at the New Main Apartments on Locust Street and found Clark inside a vehicle with a single gunshot wound to his chest. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. The investigation identified two brothers, Cedric Williams and Arzeri Williams, as suspects.
Both were arrested and charged in connection with Clark’s death. At their initial appearance in Vicksburg Municipal Court, bonds were set at $1 million each and the case was bound over to the Warren County grand jury, which returned indictments for first-degree murder against both men.Later court action resulted in plea and sentencing outcomes: Cedric Williams pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to 20 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections; Arzeri Williams was convicted of aggravated assault and received a 10-year suspended sentence.
Does anyone have information about Clark’s final hours or the dispute that led to the shooting?
