Dr. Phung Minh Le, 28, an internal medicine resident, was one of four people killed during a prolonged hostage standoff in Clinton, Mississippi, on February 16, 2019. Clinton police responded to a domestic disturbance on Foxhill Drive in the early morning; officers encountered gunfire from Nam Quang Le, who then barricaded himself inside the home with multiple hostages and held them for about 12 hours.
During the standoff the suspect released his two young daughters, who were unharmed. The suspect was found with gunshot wounds, taken to a local hospital, and later died. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation took charge of the probe; the killings are believed to have arisen from a domestic dispute, though the motive remains unclear.
Did anyone in the Clinton area know Phung Minh Le or the others involved and have information that might help clarify what happened?
