Erica Nicole Hall, 32, was found dead in the front yard of her Magnolia, Mississippi home on January 4, 2019, the victim of multiple stab wounds and a gunshot. Two relatives were arrested in connection with the killing: Hall’s 14-year-old daughter Amariyona Hall and a 12-year-old sister. Law enforcement took both girls into custody; Amariyona was charged as an adult with murder while the younger sister’s matter was handled in juvenile court and her name withheld because of her age.
Defense claims later raised allegations that the sisters had been abused by Erica and acted in self-defense, but the Pike County Sheriff’s Department had no record of abuse reports from the residence. Amariyona was released on bond and her case has experienced repeated delays; as of late 2024 the matter was pending a mental health evaluation. The final legal outcomes for both daughters remain unresolved.
Does anyone from Magnolia or the Pike County area have information about the family or the events leading up to January 4, 2019?
