On the night of March 24, 2018, 17-year-old Tylan Mikel Glenn was shot multiple times at close range while sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle in the Mount Moriah Circle neighborhood of Louisville, Mississippi. A female was driving and her young child was in the back; the shooting was believed to have arisen from a domestic dispute rather than a random act. Tylan was a student at Louisville High School and was described as a gifted, smart child on track to graduate a semester early.
Investigators recovered a 9mm handgun and spent shell casings at the scene. Authorities quickly identified 20-year-old Isaiah Riggins, the father of the child in the car, as the shooter; he fled and surrendered five days later in Georgia. A 19-year-old, Jordan Miller, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact, though those charges were later reported dropped. In November 2019 Riggins pleaded guilty to manslaughter and received a 20-year sentence. Tylan’s mother criticized the outcome, saying evidence had been mishandled and that the sentence did not reflect the severity of the killing.
Did anyone in Louisville know Tylan, the people in the car that night, or saw activity in the Mount Moriah Circle area that could shed light on what happened?
