Elvis Louis Shields, 49, was shot multiple times at his home on Meadowbrook Drive in Brooksville, Mississippi, in February 2018. Known in his community for his joyful presence and laughter, Shields was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo but died of his wounds on February 22, 2018. He was born May 2, 1968, in Columbus, Mississippi, and was a father of eight with a large extended family, including a fiancée and his father.

Investigators quickly identified a suspect close to home; Elvis Shields’ son, Everett Shields, was initially arrested on an aggravated assault charge. After Elvis Shields died, a Noxubee County grand jury indicted Everett Shields on murder.

Did anyone in the Brooksville area know Elvis or have information about that February 2018 shooting?
