In the late afternoon of August 15, 2017, on Adams Street in Grenada, Mississippi, 9-month-old Rashun Riley was killed when a bullet from a passing vehicle penetrated the walls of the home where he was inside and struck him in the head. Emergency crews air-transported the infant to University of Mississippi Medical Center-Grenada, but he died of his injuries. Several other people, including children, were inside the house; no one else was injured.
Investigators said the house did not appear to be the intended target and that the shooting was connected to a confrontation between occupants of the car and a neighbor. A vehicle matching the description was stopped later that day and two occupants, 18-year-old Shaquille Chamberlain and 20-year-old John Brown III, were taken into custody and charged with murder.
Who in Grenada might have information about that afternoon or the confrontation that led to this tragedy?
