Jachai Colvin was 20 when he was fatally shot on April 16, 2017, at the Tippah County Fairgrounds in Ripley, Mississippi. The shooting followed a concert when a fight reportedly broke out after the event. His family has said they were seeking help identifying whoever was responsible.

Born December 18, 1996, in Columbus, Mississippi, Colvin graduated from Ripley High School in 2016. He worked at the Huddle House in Ripley and attended Terry Street Church of Christ. Family described him as quiet, well-mannered, soft-spoken and always willing to help others.
