Andrew Quintrell Sherrod was 34 when he was fatally shot at his nightclub on Gillespie Road in Macon, Mississippi, on the night of December 11, 2016. The shooting followed an argument inside the club between Cedric Shantel Carter and his wife; Sherrod, the proprietor, intervened and asked Carter to leave. The dispute escalated outside, where Carter produced a firearm and shot Sherrod and another man, Deangelo Martin.
Martin was wounded and expected to survive. Sherrod suffered two gunshot wounds, to the lower back and the side, and died later that evening at Noxubee General Hospital. The Noxubee County Sheriff’s Office identified Carter as the suspect and took him into custody; an autopsy was ordered by the Mississippi State Crime Lab.
Did anyone who knew Andrew or who was at the club that night see what happened or have information to share?
