Corey Husband, 20, was found unresponsive inside a vehicle in the parking lot of Mugshots Grill & Bar in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on June 26, 2016. He had multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Forrest General Hospital, where he died. Husband had been a standout football player at Forrest County Agricultural High School and was playing at Pearl River Community College with plans to transfer to a university.
Police concluded the shooting occurred during a drug transaction. Arrests followed: James Malik Windham and Demethius Dixon were charged with murder and conspiracy to commit a felony, and Chadrick Dixon was charged with hindering prosecution. The case was later moved to federal court; Windham pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the carrying and use of a firearm during a drug-trafficking crime that resulted in the discharge of the weapon and Husband’s death, and acknowledged bringing Demethius Dixon as armed support for the deal.
Did anyone in Hattiesburg know Corey or have information about the people involved in that June 2016 transaction?
