A business dispute over a $25 service fee at the McLemore Gun Shop in Carriere, Mississippi ended in deadly violence on January 23, 2016. Jason McLemore, 44, arrived with his 17-year-old son Jacob McLemore; the confrontation escalated and gunfire broke out. Jason and Jacob were shot multiple times and died of their injuries. Audy and Michael McCool suffered life-threatening wounds but survived.

The subsequent investigation led to criminal charges. Michael McCool was tried and convicted on two counts of second-degree murder; Audy McCool was convicted on two counts of being an accessory after the fact. Michael received two 40-year prison terms; Audy was sentenced to 14 years in custody followed by six years of probation, and an appeal by the McCools was denied.

Did anyone in the Carriere area witness the confrontation at the shop or know more about what sparked the argument?
