Roy Brown was 46 when he was found shot to death on the morning of Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Police discovered his body lying face down in the front yard of a Court Street residence, not far from the Vicksburg Police Department; he had been shot multiple times.

Family described Brown as someone who was always there for them despite not having a clean slate. He was the oldest of 19 grandchildren, and his grandmother faced the loss of her first grandchild. Mayor George Flaggs Jr. visited the family to offer condolences.

Vicksburg police identified two suspects quickly, arresting Herold Lindsay and searching for his wife, Crystal Lindsay; both were to be charged with murder. If anyone knew Roy or has information about what happened that morning, please share what you remember.
