A late-night argument at a Vicksburg lounge escalated into deadly gunfire on February 8, 2015. Jimmy Lee Johnson, 32, was shot and killed after a dispute inside LD’s Restaurant & Lounge on Mulberry Street moved outdoors and a firearm was introduced into the confrontation.
Police identified a suspect after the shooting. Kentrell Williams, a Louisiana resident, was arrested and charged in connection with Johnson’s death. The case proceeded through the courts and, in June of the following year, Williams pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and received a 25-year prison sentence; reports said he expressed remorse.
What details about that night at LD’s might help clarify how the argument turned fatal?
