Michael Wayne Rosa, 42, was shot and killed at his Main Street home in Itta Bena, Mississippi, on the night of May 19, 2014. Living with his mother, Rosa answered a knock at the front door and was met with gunfire; the Leflore County coroner, Debra Sanders, reported he died at the scene.
Ballistics showed bullets that struck Rosa came from two different handguns, which led investigators to conclude more than one person fired on him. Despite an active investigation, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been publicly identified. The case has gone cold amid a lack of witnesses and limited evidence, though authorities list the investigation as open and are asking the public for help.
If anyone knew Michael, was in Itta Bena on May 19, 2014, or has information about visitors to his home that night, please come forward.
