On the evening of June 7, 2020, 17-year-old Robert Bigham III was riding a bicycle near Grand Traverse Street and Missaukee Court in Westland, Michigan, when he was shot and killed at about 8:55 p.m. The teenager lived in nearby Novi.
Westland police arrested three people soon after the shooting. Duan Markeith Jones, 18, of Westland, was identified as the shooter and charged with first-degree premeditated homicide, discharging a weapon from a vehicle causing death, tampering with evidence, and three felony firearm violations. Sarah Jean Jones-Moody, 17, of Wayne, was charged with accessory after the fact to a felony and a felony firearm violation. Timothy Dywerr Stevenson Jr., 19, of Detroit, faced charges of larceny from a person and tampering with evidence.
A number of legal actions followed in the case, but the basic facts of the June 7 shooting and the three arrests remain central. Does anyone have information about Robert, his route that evening, or what they saw near Grand Traverse and Missaukee Court?
