James Hunter was 23 when he was fatally shot on October 25, 2009, in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. He was shot while inside a vehicle and died shortly after the attack despite efforts to save him.

Hunter’s death is described as part of a larger pattern of gun violence affecting young men in Austin and contributing to Chicago’s rising homicide toll that year.

Anyone who knew James, saw the incident, or has information about the shooting is asked to come forward to help bring answers to his family?
