Laquwan Kwame Frazier was 20 when he was fatally shot inside a home on the 29000 block of Fairfax Street in Southfield on July 23, 2016. The Southfield Police Department got a 911 call at about 11:50 p.m.; officers found Frazier at the scene and interviewed witnesses who were present that night.

Police publicly appealed for information in the days after the shooting, but investigators have not released a motive or named any suspects. No arrests have been announced and the case remains open. Very little is known about what led to the shooting.
