Mario Soriano, 28, was shot multiple times on the evening of June 3, 2021, on the 100 block of North Pearl Street in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Friends transported him to Inspira Hospital, where he died a short time later. Soriano was a longtime Bridgeton resident, a U.S. Army Reserve veteran, a home remodeler, and a father; his family remembered him as adventurous and a bright presence.
A witness at the scene told police that David Morales-Olmedo shot Soriano several times and fled in a gray or silver SUV. An arrest warrant charging Morales-Olmedo with murder and related weapons offenses was issued the next day. Authorities later said Morales-Olmedo remained a fugitive for nearly three years before being apprehended at the San Ysidro Port of Entry in February 2024 and extradited to New Jersey in March 2024, where a judge ordered him held pending trial.
Did anyone in Bridgeton know Soriano’s movements that night or remember seeing a gray or silver SUV in the neighborhood?
