Aaron L. Owens, 28, of Camden City, was one of two men killed in a shooting in Paulsboro, New Jersey, on Saturday, May 8, 2021. The shootings occurred about 4:21 p.m. near West Adams and Delaware Streets; officers who responded found Owens and 25-year-old Cory R. Bunch, also of Camden City, deceased at the scene. A third male was located inside a vehicle nearby with critical gunshot injuries and was taken to Cooper Hospital in Camden.

Autopsies by the Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office determined both Owens and Bunch died of gunshot wounds and ruled their deaths homicides. The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and Paulsboro Police opened an active investigation and asked for witnesses to come forward. No suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests have been announced.
