Bryant Jabbar Banks Jr., 23, of Salem City, New Jersey, was shot and killed during a house party in St. Thomas’ Park, Penns Grove, on the night of October 2, 2020. Gunfire erupted around 11 p.m.; Banks was fatally wounded and pronounced dead shortly after. Another man was wounded and survived.

Investigators identified two suspects: Kiyon B. Johnson, 22, of Salem, and Rayneer T. Foster, 25, of Penns Grove. Surveillance footage reportedly showed the two men leaving the party with firearms. A Salem County grand jury later indicted both men on charges that included first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and multiple weapons offenses.
