On the morning of August 19, 2020, officers conducting a wellness check at a residence on Warrick Avenue in Glassboro, New Jersey, found two men inside who had been fatally shot. One victim was identified as 26-year-old Manuel DelaRosa Jr. The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office determined both deaths were homicides and said the victims had been specifically targeted; no motive was released.
By the end of August 2020, prosecutors charged four people in connection with the killings: Devon J. Conover, 19, and Abdelgadi H. Hassan, 19, both of Trenton; Altaifjoe H. Hassan, 23, of Glassboro; and Daniel P. Hall, 23, of Teaneck. The announced charges included Murder, Felony Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder and other offenses. Authorities said the act was not random and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
Few details about who did what that day have been made public; the investigation remained active as officials worked to piece together what happened. Did anyone in the Glassboro area know Manuel or have information about events on Warrick Avenue that morning?
