On the morning of November 10, 2019, 20-year-old Kion Edwards was standing outside a house on the 300 block of York Street in Burlington’s Historic Yorkshire neighborhood when a vehicle with three people drove past and shots were fired toward him and others he was with. Edwards was the only person struck; he was taken to Virtua Willingboro Hospital and pronounced dead at 10:45 a.m. An autopsy found a bullet had passed through his arm and entered his chest.
City of Burlington police and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the drive-by, using city security cameras. In the days after the shooting authorities identified three suspects. Zahire N. Williams, 19, of Burlington City, was charged as the shooter with murder and weapons offenses. Lowell M. McCown, 20, of Philadelphia, and Marcus S. Mackroy-Davis, 23, of Westampton, were charged with conspiracy to commit murder; later indictments added further charges for weapons, aggravated assault and obstruction.
If anyone was in the area that morning or saw the vehicle involved, please share what was seen with investigators.
