Davontae Randall, 21, was found with multiple gunshot wounds at a West Buck Street residence in Paulsboro, New Jersey, on the evening of August 25, 2018. He was taken to Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury and pronounced dead.

Investigators say the shooting followed a physical altercation between Randall and a man he knew; that confrontation came after a road rage incident a few days earlier. Witnesses saw the shooter flee on foot. Authorities described the killing as not random and said there was no ongoing danger to the community because the suspect and victim were acquainted.

The shooter was identified as 20-year-old Anthony D. Kille. He surrendered to the Atlantic City Police Department on August 28 and was charged with murder and weapons offenses. A Superior Court jury later convicted Anthony Kille of aggravated manslaughter and related offenses; he received a 24-year state prison sentence for Randall’s death.
