Dominique Vivett, a 25-year-old Black/African American man, was shot and killed on the afternoon of April 3, 2018, outside the Arborwood Apartment Complex on East Gibbsboro Road in Lindenwold, New Jersey. Police received 911 calls about the shooting at about 4:06 p.m.; Vivett was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was pronounced dead at about 5:26 p.m.
Investigators developed the case as a homicide involving several people present at the scene. Court records say four witnesses gave statements and one later identified Terrill A. Chandler as the shooter. While Vivett was being transported to the trauma center, a handgun fell from his pocket; officers also recovered numerous bags of suspected controlled dangerous substances and U.S. currency on his person. Chandler was charged with first-degree murder on April 6, 2018, and after a period as a fugitive was arrested April 20 in Philadelphia.
Did anyone in Lindenwold or the surrounding area have information about what happened outside the Arborwood complex that afternoon?
