Malcolm T. Ford, 24, was shot and killed on the evening of August 24, 2017, in the 200 block of Scotland Road in Orange, New Jersey. Emergency crews took him to University Hospital in Newark, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 p.m. that night.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force and the Orange Police Department opened an active investigation and asked the public for help in the days after the shooting.
