On Saturday afternoon, May 23, 2015, 20-year-old Earlquan Moore was shot on the 200 block of 3rd Street in Elizabeth, New Jersey, across from Brophy Field where a baseball game was underway. He was taken to Trinitas Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task Force and the Elizabeth Police Department opened a joint investigation and asked the public for help. Union County Crime Stoppers offered up to a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment. In May 2017 investigators released video clips showing two persons of interest — a male with long black dreadlocks wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants, and a female in a white tank top and dark pants — near a white four-door Nissan Altima from the 2013–2015 model years.
No public announcement of an arrest has been made. If anyone has information about what happened to Earlquan Moore or recognizes the people or the vehicle in the footage, please share it with investigators.
