Eugene Henry Draeger, 56, was a passenger in a white-and-red Piper Supercub, tail number N3946Z, that was found overturned in Nishlik Lake on August 10, 1990. The wreck was located about 75 miles south of Aniak. The other occupant of the aircraft was found deceased, but Draeger was never located and is presumed to have drowned. The airplane itself has not been recovered.
At the time he went missing Draeger was wearing a brown plaid flannel shirt, camouflage pants and green hip boots. He had a blue ballcap with gold stars forming the Big Dipper and North Star, a light-colored topaz ring on his left ring finger and a watch with a gold wristband. The Alaska State Troopers are listed as the investigating agency under case number MP66907.
Anyone who knew Eugene or who has information about the plane, the crash site or sightings in the Aniak area on or after August 10, 1990 is asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers Missing Persons Clearinghouse.
