Ronnie Jerome Everette Jr., known as Boosie, was a 17-year-old student at Franklin High School with strong ties to Old Cool Spring Baptist Church and a love of gospel music, sports and video games. He was last seen October 27, 2022, at the Berkley Court Apartments on Cameron Street. After his family reported him missing, his body was found November 1, 2022, near Gardner Street, about a block from where he had been last seen. The Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide, but authorities have not released the specific cause of death.

The community held a candlelight vigil to mourn Ronnie and to press for leads. If anyone saw Ronnie around Berkley Court or Gardner Street in late October 2022, or has information that could help the investigation, please contact Franklin police.
