On October 17, 2022, at about 11:29 p.m., Henrico 911 received reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of Azrock Court. Officers found two adult men with gunshot wounds; both were taken to a local hospital. One man survived with non-life-threatening injuries. Twenty-year-old Khmard Antonio Straughter was pronounced deceased; the cause of death was a gunshot wound.

Henrico Police opened a homicide investigation and appealed to the community for anyone who might have seen or heard anything unusual in the area before 11:30 p.m. The case remains unsolved with no arrests and no publicly identified suspects, and detectives continue to investigate the double shooting.
