Evan Zaukar, 45, was last seen on June 2, 1990, in a boat on the Holitna River, downstream from Kashegelok in the Aniak region of Alaska. An American Indian / Alaska Native man, he is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time he disappeared he was reportedly wearing a brown and green camouflage jacket and brown pants.

Zaukar had been hunting with a companion; the two separated when Zaukar took his boat upriver to visit friends. When he did not return, his hunting partner and other boaters searched and found his abandoned boat on the Holitna River about 75 miles southeast of Aniak near Taylor Mountain. The Alaska State Troopers are investigating (case number 900039141) and the case is also listed in NamUs (MP66618). No further trace of Evan Zaukar has been reported.

If anyone knew Evan, his travel routes, or was on the Holitna River around June 2, 1990, please come forward with information.
