Robert Liggins, 28, was shot and killed on May 10, 2008, in Chicago, Illinois. The slaying occurred in a high-crime neighborhood during a period of rising homicides in the city, and investigators faced the familiar obstacles that accompany such environments: reluctant witnesses, limited physical evidence, and strained investigative resources.
The case eventually went cold and remains unresolved. The Chicago Police Department has created units and used forensic advances to re-examine older cases and has asked the public for help, but Liggins’ family has not yet received answers.
If anyone has information about Robert Liggins, his movements that day, or the neighborhood where he was killed, please come forward and contact the CPD.
