Delvontae LeQuan Boone, 28, was shot and killed in the early morning hours of November 8, 2020, in the 600 block of Oak Street in Franklin, Virginia. Police responded to a shots-fired call at about 2:37 a.m. and found Boone suffering from a gunshot wound; he died at the scene.

A 2012 graduate of Franklin High School, Boone played football, basketball and baseball, attended First Baptist Church of Franklin, and was a father to four children. Friends called him Popcorn and remembered him as comical and generous.
