Connall Jackie Mullins was 18 when he was shot in Fredericksburg on September 16, 2020. The shooting took place at about 10:45 p.m. in the 2500 block of Carriage Lane after multiple calls for gunfire. Two people were found with gunshot wounds and rushed to a nearby hospital; Mullins died there, while the other victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Mullins, a King George County resident born March 29, 2002, had graduated from King George High School the prior year. Friends remembered him as kind, thoughtful, loyal, and interested in science and math. Police later identified a suspect and on October 1, 2020 arrested 20-year-old Jordan Reed of King George County. Reed was charged with second-degree murder in Mullins’s death, aggravated malicious wounding for the other victim, and two counts for use of a firearm in the commission of a felony; he was also charged separately in a Stafford County robbery from August 31, 2020.
Did anyone in the Fredericksburg or King George communities see or hear anything that night on Carriage Lane?
