Stephanie Brainerd, 30, was killed on the evening of March 14, 2019, in Chesapeake, Virginia. Working as a pizza delivery driver for Chanello’s Pizza and a mother, she was shot and killed inside her vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot during what investigators say was a planned robbery.

Three people were arrested in connection with the case: Tanagi Ravenel, Samaya Davidson, and Antonio Britton. Testimony reported at trial included Davidson saying that, moments before the shooting, either Ravenel or Britton announced a plan to rob the delivery driver and that Ravenel allegedly agreed. In October 2022, a jury found Ravenel guilty of first-degree murder, robbery, and related charges; court proceedings for Davidson and Britton were scheduled to follow.
