On a cold December evening in Virginia Beach, 30-year-old Feraud Lloyd Beard was one of three people shot at the Carriage House apartment complex on Coach Circle. The shooting occurred on December 30, 2018, around 8:30 p.m. when police responded and found Beard with fatal gunshot wounds. Christopher Jerome Bailey, 31, of Norfolk, was also killed; a third man survived with serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.

The Virginia Beach Police Department opened an intensive investigation, canvassing the area and seeking information. Authorities said they were actively searching for a suspect but did not release a detailed description. In the years that followed no public information about arrests or an identified suspect has been disclosed and the motive remains unclear.

If anyone knew the victims, was in the Coach Circle area that night, or has information that could help explain what happened, please share what is known.
