Keshawn Lamont Dickerson was 18 when he was shot in Lynchburg, Virginia, in the early hours of September 16, 2018. Multiple 911 callers reported gunfire in the 2000 block of Third Street. Officers found Dickerson with gunshot injuries; he was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital and died there.
Investigators arrested 15-year-old Quisaan Johnson and charged him as an adult. Prosecutors alleged both young men had been at a party on 3rd Street and that Johnson went to the back of the house intending to rob two people, then fired a handgun in the driveway, during which Dickerson was shot. Johnson’s trial began in Lynchburg Circuit Court, but after the prosecution rested the defense moved to strike for insufficient evidence. The judge agreed there was not enough proof that Johnson possessed or fired a firearm, and the charges were dismissed.
Does anyone have information about that party or the people present on 3rd Street that night?
