Cory Caroline Suchman was 28 when she disappeared from Dillingham, Alaska, on September 11, 1987. She was on a boat traveling between Protection Point and Cape Constantine; that trip is her last known movement. Searches were conducted in the area where she was believed to have gone into the water, but no trace of her was found.

The Alaska State Troopers concluded she had likely drowned; the case is effectively a presumed drowning without a recovered body. The Bristol Bay marine environment — cold water, strong tides — is noted as making any recovery difficult, and there have been no further developments reported in the investigation.

Does anyone who lived or worked around Dillingham in 1987 remember details about that day or Cory’s travel plans that could shed light on what happened?
