Jordan Jacob Keyes was 18 when he was shot and killed in front of his family’s home on Taylor Street in Lynchburg, Virginia, on the night of Friday, January 12, 2018. A student at Heritage High School, he was remembered by family and friends as respectful, charming, and passionate about cooking with aspirations to become a chef.

The Lynchburg Police Department opened a homicide investigation and canvassed the neighborhood while community and faith leaders walked the streets urging residents to share any information. Despite those efforts and public appeals from his family, no suspect information or arrests have been publicly released and the identity of the person or persons responsible remains unknown.
