Alon Alvin Clipper was 23 when he was shot in the early morning hours of July 1, 2017, in the Greenbrier Shopping Center parking lot on Plank Road in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Clipper, a King George County resident and semi-professional football player, had been with friends when multiple shots were fired just before 2 a.m. Friends transported him to Mary Washington Hospital; he later died of his injuries the same day.
Investigators identified a primary suspect, 37-year-old Stevie Montrel Adams, who was wanted on murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Adams was described as 5 feet 11 inches and about 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes; a cash reward was offered for information leading to his arrest. Two other people were charged in connection with the case: Tyree Whitfield, 37, charged as an accessory after the fact, and Donna Renee Lewis, 44, who turned herself in on a felony accessory-after-the-fact charge.
Are there details about that night or anyone who knew Alon that could help clarify what happened?
