On April 9, 2017, 63-year-old Sally Lake Julian was shot and killed inside her Chesapeake, Virginia, home. Her husband, 60-year-old Clark Lee Julian, was pursued through the house, barricaded himself in a room, but was kicked in and shot; both Sally and Clark died of their injuries.

After the attacks Steven drove to his aunt and uncle’s house and threatened them with the same firearm; his uncle wrestled the gun away. When police arrived, Steven admitted to killing his parents. He was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. His defense raised mental illness at trial, but he was convicted. In December 2018 he received a life sentence for Sally’s murder plus additional time related to Clark’s death and the assault on his aunt and uncle. The motive remains unclear.

If anyone knew Sally or has information about what led to that April 2017 evening, please share details that could help the record of the case.
