Annabelle Moser, also known as Annabelle Lee Pickett and Abbie Pickett, was 16 when she was last seen aboard the fishing vessel Normar II on September 9, 1986, in the Dutch Harbor area of the Bering Sea. She had brown hair and hazel eyes and was one of four people who vanished with the vessel.
The Normar II reportedly swamped and capsized about September 11, 1986, roughly 120 miles northeast of Saint Paul Island. Kenneth Ridgley, Richard Bennett, and Fred Halsworth were lost alongside Annabelle. An extensive search involved the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Boutwell, a helicopter, two C-130 aircraft, and 38 fishing vessels, but no trace of the boat or crew was recovered.
The Alaska State Troopers investigated, and the official account states the Normar II swamped and capsized, leaving little chance for survival. Does anyone have information about Annabelle, the Normar II, or that 1986 search effort?
