Kenneth Charles Bage, a 54-year-old White man, was shot and killed inside a home on Briar Lane in Henrico County, Virginia, during a late-night break-in on February 16, 2017. Family members say multiple intruders forced their way into the house; Bage was seated in an armchair in the living room when he was confronted and shots were fired. Wanda Bage, who was in a bedroom, survived and later described what she witnessed to relatives and investigators.

Relatives reported that nothing appeared to have been taken and that Wanda was not shot, leaving the family searching for an explanation for lethal force during what was described as a break-in. Henrico Police called the death suspicious and said Bage had obvious signs of trauma while the investigation continued.
