Andrew Anthony Macar, 36, disappeared from Aniak, Alaska; his last known contact was July 30, 1986. He is described as American Indian/Alaska Native, 5 feet 5 inches, about 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time he was thought to be wearing a gray or blue mid-thigh leather coat or a Levi-style jacket, green rain pants with tape, blue jeans, rubber breakup boots, and possibly a blue baseball cap or an old confederate-style hat.

The prevailing presumption is that he drowned in the Kuskokwim River, though that has not been confirmed. The Alaska State Troopers in Anchorage are the investigating agency, and the case was entered into NamUs on March 17, 2020. No confirmed recovery or closure is noted.

If anyone knew Andrew, his habits, or movements around Aniak in 1986, please share information that could help clarify what happened.
