On March 23, 2015, two women were found murdered inside a Chesapeake, Virginia, home on Battery Park Road. Denise Perdue, 57, was discovered in a back bedroom and had been shot in the back. Her friend, 62-year-old Laurel Sanchez, was found in the living room and died of a gunshot wound to the head.

A neighbor alerted police after noticing blood at the residence. Investigators recovered bullets, a knife, cellphones, and bank receipts from the scene. A threatening text sent to one of the women that said You both will be dead within a week was reported before the killings, and nearby video captured a red vehicle of interest and at least one person running from the house toward the car. Police have said the victims likely knew their attacker or attackers, but no arrests or public identifications of suspects have been made.

Anyone with information about Denise Perdue, Laurel Sanchez, the red vehicle, or the threatening message is asked to come forward.
