On January 27, 2015, 17-year-old Tabb High School student Dylan Thomas Peters was shot inside a home in the 200 block of Cattail Lane in the Tabb area of York County. Deputies found Peters with multiple gunshot wounds; he was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. The fatal shot pierced his heart.
Investigators described the attack as a planned robbery aimed at taking drugs and money. Court filings say three people discussed the plan beforehand: 17-year-old Evan Tyler, 20-year-old Tevin Lambert, and Alphonzo Jackson. Tyler went to Peters’ home that afternoon, and after a brief conversation on the porch Peters tried to retreat inside. Tyler allegedly fired five shots through the door; the assailants left without taking any property.
Evan Tyler was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, attempted robbery, and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. Tevin Lambert and Alphonzo Jackson were also arrested on conspiracy-related charges; both later pleaded guilty, with Jackson cooperating and identifying Tyler as the shooter.
If anyone knew Dylan, his routines, or saw activity near Cattail Lane that afternoon, please share what was seen.
