On the evening of February 21, 2014, three masked men entered Platanillos Grocery and Jewelry in Woodbridge, Virginia, shortly before 9:00 p.m. Glenda Marisol Coca-Romero, a 21-year-old mother of an infant daughter who had come to the United States from El Salvador, was working at the store and was shot during the encounter. She died at the scene. A 42-year-old female co-worker was also shot and critically injured but survived. A customer and another employee were present and unharmed.
Surveillance video captured the entire incident, which lasted less than twenty seconds. The assailants were described as three males in dark clothing with their faces covered; no money or property was taken from the business, and the motive remains unclear. The Prince William County Police Department and the FBI have appealed to the public and a reward has been offered for information leading to arrest and conviction.
Did anyone in the Woodbridge area see or hear anything that night that could help identify the three men?
