On the evening of October 29, 2013, 20-year-old Kristopher Daniel Lee was found shot and lying near townhouses in the Level Green area of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Emergency responders treated him but he died of his injuries, and the case was classified as a homicide.
Investigators say the shooting arose from a planned robbery. By March 2014 detectives had indicted two men: Jordan Diangelo Champion was identified as the shooter and charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm, and conspiracy to commit a felony; Daushawn Latrez Newton was initially charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm. Newton later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of conspiracy to commit murder and received a prison term; Champion was convicted of first-degree murder and received a life sentence plus additional years for the firearm and conspiracy counts.
Anyone who knew Kristopher, his routines, or saw activity in the Level Green area around late October 2013 is asked to share information that could help fill in gaps about what happened that night?
