Dockim Rashauna Alexander was 26 when he was shot and killed in Henrico, Virginia, on the evening of September 17, 2007. Police responded to reports of a shooting near Windomere Avenue after witnesses said Alexander was seen running from an assailant who then shot him. His body was found in the backyard of a home in the 500 block of Windomere Avenue; the cause of death was a gunshot wound.

Born in Brooklyn on October 27, 1980, Alexander grew up in New Jersey, graduated from Bloomfield High School, and later moved to Richmond. He was the father of two daughters and two stepchildren; a graveside service was held at Evergreen Cemetery and an obituary appeared in the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Despite witness accounts describing a suspect, no one has been identified or arrested. Henrico County Police list the case as an unsolved cold case and are asking the public for any information that could help bring justice to his family. Did anyone in the Windomere Avenue area in September 2007 see or hear something that could help?
