Demetrius Taye-Shaun Harbour was 17 when he died on Saturday, August 20, 2022. A student at Edison Jr./Sr. High School in Lake Station, Indiana, he was known to friends and family as Meeci.

Authorities responded about 8:30 p.m. to the 2700 block of Gibson Street in Lake Station. The Lake County Coroner’s Office ruled Harbour’s death a homicide from a penetrating wound; he was a victim of gun violence. The Lake Station Police Department investigated the incident, but to date no arrests have been made and there is no public information identifying suspects. His case is now considered a cold case. His family and loved ones held a funeral service on September 3, 2022, at The Word Church in Lake Station.
