On September 26, 2020, 21-year-old Faith Renee Banks was killed outside an apartment in Speedway, Indiana. Faith, seven months pregnant with a daughter she planned to name Londyn, had been staying at the apartment shared by her boyfriend, Christian Goods, and his childhood friend, Shawn James Harris. An argument between Faith and Goods prompted her to gather belongings in the hallway; Goods placed a handgun that belonged to Faith on the ground outside the apartment door before going back inside.

Shawn James Harris, who had been trying to sleep before an early shift, said he heard what he believed were gunshots and saw a shadowy figure outside his bedroom window. He retrieved a rifle and fired through the blind-covered window, striking Faith. She and her unborn child were pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital. Harris was arrested and charged with reckless homicide.

At a bench trial Harris claimed self-defense and defense of dwelling, saying he believed someone was trying to break in, while prosecutors argued his use of force was unreasonable because he fired blindly without verifying a target.

Does anyone have information about the moments leading up to the shooting or saw Faith that evening?
